History
Studio Graziadei was founded in May 1921 by Dr. Giuseppe Graziadei — who graduated from the University of Bari with a degree in Commercial Studies, was enrolled under no. 28 in the Register of Chartered Accountants of Naples and in the Register of Official Auditors — with the aim of assisting entrepreneurs in the organisation of management, accounting and control systems designed to prevent and resolve potential business crises. At that time, in the early twentieth century, the indispensable contribution of the Chartered Accountant and Auditor to the development of corporate culture was only beginning to be recognised, as well as to the management of the many compliance obligations that, in the second half of the twentieth century, underwent significant regulatory evolution, especially in tax and corporate matters.
In 1956, Dr. Rocco Graziadei — who graduated in Economics and Business, qualified to practise as a Chartered Accountant and was enrolled in the Register of Official Auditors (renamed Statutory Auditors from 1995 onwards) — joined the firm’s activity, thus actively contributing, together with his father, to the growth of the profession, increasingly aimed at making the role of the Chartered Accountant more strategic and essential for every type and size of company. Both also took on institutional roles, respectively as Member of Study Committees and Councillor of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Naples.
Over time, the baton passed to the third generation of Chartered Accountants, represented by Dr. Lawyer Giuseppe Graziadei, grandson — and namesake — of the Founder (registered with the Order of Chartered Accountants since 1991 and Statutory Auditor since 1995), who undertook the task of leading Studio Graziadei into the new millennium, an era in which the role of the Chartered Accountant evolved even further towards a profession increasingly focused on legal matters, especially in the fields of business crisis resolution, asset protection and intergenerational business transfer. This evolution led to a deepening of legal education — obtaining a PhD (1998), a degree in Law (2014) and qualification to practise as a Lawyer (2017) — in order to enhance the professional services provided by Studio Graziadei, making them ever more focused on the primary interests of businesses and shareholders.
Over more than a century of professional activity, made possible by the succession of three generations of Chartered Accountants, Studio Graziadei has been able to provide its client companies with continuous and up-to-date professional assistance across the various areas governed by commercial law, tax law and business crisis law, offering consultancy and professional services aimed at supporting companies during growth phases, while also addressing the emergence of economic, asset-related and financial distress situations.
